Manager of Project Management / Director of Project Management (Full-time, NYC)

The Project Management team at INF manages construction, contractors, and partners,
administers RFPs, manages contracts, and maintains close communication with project owners.
Based on experience and qualifications, the Manager or Director of Project Management role
will entail complete management of the Project Management team. They will develop and
maintain all tools, resources, departmental tracking, financial reporting, and Project
Management employee support for the team. They will also shadow and visit project sites to
ensure that the Project Manager is performing the work correctly and any issues are quickly
addressed in a professional manager to ensure the project is delivered to a high standard of
quality. The applicant must have substantial experience managing construction projects and
contractors and be a well-rounded team player with strong organizational and communication
skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop/maintain a project tracking system with clear, detailed steps as required for
  each PM to understand the process and execute. Manage 6-8 Project Managers to
  ensure they’re maintaining a steady project pipeline and managing project.
  files/documentation correctly.
• Develop/maintain project tools, templates, and documents and track their use and
  execution:
  • Meeting minute documentation.
  • RFPs.
  • Final design review files.
  • Construction packets:
    • Owner notifications
    • Detailed communication protocol instructions.
    • INF health and safety plan.
    • Complete project scope.
    • Equipment documentation.
    • Sign-off documents
  • Project billing and Accounting.
• Manage (along with the dedicated Project Manager) the transition projects from design
  phase to construction through planning, scheduling, and verifying the solution design
  and track projects on a daily/weekly basis to ensure completion based on project
  requirements, i.e., project budget and schedule.
• Ensure they’re executing project management work to an established standard of
  quality.
• Develop training and guidance for continuous improvement of the team’s project
  management work.
• Report on key financial metrics to leadership.
• Support the continued growth and hiring of new Project Managers.
• Manage relationships with contractors.

Experience Requirements:

• Knowledge of Electrical/EV charging supply equipment (75%) – and – mechanical
  equipment, commissioning, and equipment retrofit principles (25%).
• Proven experience with construction phasing, scheduling, and resource management.
• Experience with client relationship management a plus.
• Knowledge of construction codes and principles.
• Electrician/Electrical Engineering experience a plus.
• Knowledge of utility incentive programs and equipment qualification requirements.

Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in the engineering or construction field AND 4+ years of experience in
  project management.
• Skilled in using various software programs to establish and maintain systems for
  tracking: Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com, QuickBooks Online.
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to work through
  project changes.
• Ability to work under tight timelines and schedules.
