Project Manager, Lighting Solutions (Full-time, NYC)
INF’s Lighting Department surveys, designs, and installs LED retrofit solutions in commercial and
multi-family residential buildings. This position requires strong organizational and
communication skills, ability to travel to various project sites throughout the New York City
area, proven technical abilities in LED lighting, and an ambitious personality in a fast-growing
firm. The Project Manager will work with premier companies and real estate portfolios in
Manhattan, guiding clients through project development of lighting upgrade solutions and installation.
Job Responsibilities:

- Audit/Survey – Reference existing building documents to perform site assessments and
identify: luminaire locations, existing fixture types, lamp types, quantities, mounting
positions, existing controls and existing wall switch/control features. - File and record all data in an organized manner. Input complete and fully accurate data
collected from site into lighting tool via Microsoft Excel. - Manage or support final design meetings and construction kick-off meetings, stepping
through all details of a project with the appropriate stakeholders. - Develop and finalize construction packages for each project:
- Summary and notifications on project process to owner.
- Detailed communication protocol instructions.
- INF health and safety plan.
- Complete project scope.
- Equipment documentation.
- Sign-off documents
- Manage the construction/installation of new projects through: coordination with site
contacts/owner, management of contractors and any issues on site, reporting on
progress, and proper organization of on-going project files. - Support project billing and accounting.
- Support the design and development of retrofit solutions, and proposal development.

Experience Requirements:

- Audit/survey of large commercial and residential buildings; identifying and cleanly
recording all attributes of existing lighting equipment. - Complete knowledge of common retrofit solutions, retrofit principles, advanced
controls, and local building codes/Local Laws (LL88) according to specific needs of
application. - Experience coordinating with lighting equipment manufacturers and vendors for
accurate specifications and pricing. - Experience managing and coordinating (electrical) contractors in New York City.</li

Skills Requirements

- Degree in the engineering or construction field and 2+ years of experience in project
management. - Skilled in using various software programs to establish and maintain systems for
tracking: Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com, QuickBooks Online. - Detail-oriented and organized approach.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to work through
project changes. - Ability to work under tight timelines and schedules.
- Proactive, team approach to achieving the team’s objectives.
